Pakistan overcomes Corona epidemic:Says WHO Representative

 ISLAMABAD: The representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Palitha Mahipala in a press briefing on World Safety Day said that today Pakistan has overcome Code 19 and in this regard Pakistan is commendable.

Addressing a news conference at the World Health Organization in Islamabad, Dr. Palitha Mahi said that today is a very important day. If health workers are safe then patients will be safe. Our health workers played an exemplary role in the Corona situation.

Dr. Palitha Mahi said that Pakistan is one of the 7 countries in the world which has overcome the epidemic. Although there are difficulties in opening schools, we are training medical staff and teachers to spread awareness. The HO and all the agencies are working together.

On this occasion, Dr. Ansar, Executive Director of PIMS, said that when the Corona epidemic started in China, all possible steps were taken to prevent it in Pakistan. Pakistan faced this challenge, the epidemic in our country did not affect like others Happened in countries.

Dr. Ansar further said that PIMS Hospital has always tried to provide facilities to the people in every situation, appreciating the role of WHO that they have played an important role.
