If it was not forbidden, I would have committed suicide, complains the Female District Judge
ISLAMABAD: Dr. Sajida Ahmed, a woman Additional District and Sessions Judge from Punjab, has said in an open letter to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court that it would have been better for her to be a part of the judiciary. Raise cattle in their villages and keep them upright; Because being part of the judiciary, they have to endure the filthy insults and insults of "so-called" lawyers.
Disappointed with the treatment of lower court judges, including women, in Punjab, the female judge has even said that if suicide was not forbidden in Islam, she would have committed suicide in front of the Supreme Court building because as a judge. He and his colleagues face abuse, insults and harassment on a daily basis.
She lamented that her seniors did nothing to save the judges of the district judiciary from this insult. Dr. Sajida Ahmed is the same courageous woman who openly supported the judiciary movement in favor of an independent judiciary due to which she faced the wrath of the then Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court and was transferred to Bhakkar. ۔ He is currently Additional Sessions and District Judge at Fateh Jang Attock.
"If I, as a female judge in the court, had to endure insults and insults from the so-called lawyers, it would have been better for me to spend twenty-five years of my life, like ordinary Pakistani girls, instead of spending twenty-five years pursuing higher education. She would have gotten married in a decade and would not have wasted her parents' precious time and money on pursuing higher education in Islamabad for fifteen years.
It would have been better if I had been working as a herdsman, plowing, helping my farming family and living a life free from worries and misery instead of the lights of Islamabad. ”She said,“ This great profession is unprofessional. Individuals and black sheep have hijacked.
Verbal and physical attacks on the general public, the police in the presence of lawyers' courts and the presiding officer have become commonplace, all under your nose. "
She lamented, "It is unfortunate that we have failed to reap the benefits of the lawyers' movement, failed to achieve the great goal of the rule of law and our identity has been tarnished by the world when the Lahore Bar The lawyers of the association attacked the Pakistan Institute of Cardiology (PIC) at a time when the lives of heart patients were being saved there.
She said that if the grievances of the district judiciary were not resolved, the judges would be sent to the Secretary General of the United Nations, European Commission for Human Rights, Amnesty International Human Rights Watch Commission, International Association for Men and Women Judges, International Bar Association of Lawyers. I have to file a petition in which the actions of mischievous lawyers in Pakistan and their insults against the judges will be highlighted which is happening here on a daily basis especially in the district courts of Punjab.
She said that the principle of district courts in Punjab is "If there is no honor then there is no work". He said that judges provide justice to all but who will give justice to those who provide justice.
She wondered why contempt of court action was not being taken against the dirty and disgusting elements and unprofessional lawyers in the district bar under section 228 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Answering the same question, she said that the reason was that the judges of the district judiciary knew that their problem would not be solved but instead their senior officials would reprimand them as to why you had problems with wisdom. Don't solve or you don't know how to handle your own court? Etc.
The question is why references and complaints against such unprofessional lawyers are not sent to the Punjab Bar Council and Pakistan Bar Councils whose licenses are temporarily or permanently suspended after reviewing the insults and abuses with the Presiding Officer on a daily basis. Can be done
She said, "Sir, it is a crime against the people to insult a judge in court, to threaten him or to beat him in court, so why not send a petition against such arrogant lawyers to the provincial and federal ombudsman and Explain that there is a case of harassment in the workplace.
She said that if professional lawyers are under pressure from such non-professional lawyers then why do they vote for them in the annual elections.
She revealed that more than a dozen young, passionate district court judges have been killed in Punjab in recent years but no one is paying attention to the cause of their deaths.
The latest death of young senior civil Pakpattan judge Mr. Badi-ul-Zaman is also before everyone. The explanation of this incident should come to light as to why he died suddenly due to brain hemorrhage. If we face similar reprimands, abuse and mental and physical torture from lawyers and you cannot save us, our dignity and the dignity of our family, then we are ready to return all the privileges that have been given to us. Like car, laptop, extra salary etc. But its price is not our honor or the honor of our family because male and female judges are harassed in the courts.
"I am compelled, frustrated and upset, to burn my academic credentials one by one in front of the Hon'ble Lahore High Court or in front of the Supreme Court in protest so that women in the 23 crore people are encouraged to do so," she said. Let us become someone's sister, daughter or wife or mother with our zeal and faith and serve this great nation with our dignity and respect while living in a profession that is no longer valued.
