Riyadh: Saudi Arabia has announced a gradual resumption of Umrah with precautionary measures from October 4.
According to an announcement issued by the Saudi Interior Ministry, in the first phase, 6,000 locals and foreigners residing in Saudi Arabia will be allowed to perform Umrah daily.
In the second phase, 15,000 foreign nationals residing in Saudi Arabia will be allowed to perform Umrah from the 18th of next month. Similarly, in the third phase, Umrah will be resumed from November 1 for pilgrims coming from outside Saudi Arabia. In the third phase, the daily capacity of visitors will be increased to 200,000 per day.
Those wishing to perform Umrah will have to submit a Corona test report upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, the pilgrims will be screened and the pilgrims will be tested again even on a minor symptom.
